Remember the song, Help me Rhonda, help, help me Rhonda? Well, this Ronda, Spain really helps you relax and breathe easy. Most tours treat Ronda as a day trip that you just see a snippet of. The Rick Steves Tour lets you savor it for all its beauty. Some people in our group were real ambitious and hiked down into the gorge. Dennis and I took a leisurely walk along the top with our friends Joanne and David and had lunch with a view and boy, what a view.

The Puenta Nuevo bridge was completed in 1794 after taking 34 years to construct and it has two arches. The first attempt using one arch collapsed shortly after it was completed.

Tonight we stayed at the Hotel San Gabriel which is a quaint family run hotel. The perks of a small tour group is that each stay has a couple of special rooms that get assigned to the various tour members. This hotel had a special suite for one of our lucky friends, Lynn and Dave. Our group had an impromptu happy hour in our hotel courtyard and then went out to dinner. The funny story was when we met a group from Poland when we were out and managed to get our groups together for a fun global picture. Smiles were everywhere!
